Robin Nixon music and video productions are born out of heart felt passion for what his creative mind conceives. With an all round understanding and appreciation for what is involved within the music industry, Robin has received various awards in recognition for both his work and contributions, working with such artists as Emeli Sandé, Oasis, The Fugees Boys II Men and many more. As well as productions for the famous Robin also collaborates with a whole host of musical artists as a consultant via his media company TECYES.
It wasn't long after moving to the United States that Robin Nixon found his calling within the music and entertainment industry and honing his skills in order to interpret his conceptual ideas. From managing music strategies for Urban Outfitters to art directing music videos, creating movie sets, sound streams and implementing all the fine details required for music videos. Robin owned record stores in London, San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles. He is an influential pioneer in the electronic music genre.
Other production credits also include, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, System Of A Down, Babyface, Common, Malcolm McLaren, and The Killers. He has managed creative services for Coachella and Stagecoach festivals as well as music video productions for GLEE and Disney’s Mitchel Musso. Acknowledged for his contribution to music, Robin holds committee positions within the ‘National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences’ and received US residence as an Artist of Extraordinary Merit winning ADDY and International Summit awards.
Robin's early influence came from the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award winning German band Kraftwerk, though his life long influence has been that of David Bowie. Combined with the privilege of having been mentored by Malcolm Mclaren, it is clear to see that Robin enjoys the indie and punk scene, which aid in the production of unique conceptual work. As a visual artist too, creativity is Robin's forte which has lead him to the successes and achievements so far in his life and no doubt, shall continue to do so.
